Associate Attorney
Zachrey Robbins understands what it means to be charged with a crime. He appreciates that no matter how big or small a case may seem, it is the biggest worry in the person’s life at the time, and it must be treated with the attention and care that it deserves.
Zachrey brings a unique background and a diverse collection of experiences to his legal practice. He joined the United State Marine Corps where he was trained in explosives and landmine detection, and he served in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Northeast Africa.
He eventually returned home to Seattle and obtained his bachelor’s degree in classical piano from Cornish College of the Arts. While in school, he was one of the highest rated ride share drivers in Seattle, and also worked at one of the first legal cannabis stores in the county.
After winning several competitions throughout the state, Zachrey decided to pursue his first dream of studying law, and was accepted into the University of Washington School of law. There, he was one of a small group of second year law students selected to work in the Tribal Defense Clinic. This clinic gave him his first experience practicing law where he represented indigent members of the Tulalip tribe facing criminal charges. This experience affirmed his desire to help people who have been charged with crime.
Both during and after law school, Zachrey worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Thurston County. He was first assigned to the General Misdemeanor team where he managed a caseload of over 300 charges and was involved in the prosecution of hundreds of DUIs. After doing this work for 2 years, he joined the Domestic Violence team where he prosecuted domestic assaults and the criminal mistreatment of children. Although he took great pride in this work, especially as a member of the domestic violence team, he still never lost the desire to defend those who have been charged with a crime.
The combination of Zachrey’s life experience and legal work are what defines his current practice. Having grown up in South Seattle with a single mother, and serving in parts of the world experiencing extreme turmoil, he has developed a deep understanding for the unique challenges that a person may be facing. His time as a prosecutor gave him an inside knowledge of every stage of charging and proving a crime. It also showed him firsthand how someone’s life can be turned upside down because of a relatively common mistake made only once in their life.
