Ben Teets

Benjamin Teets represents Washington drivers facing DUI charges and traffic tickets, focusing on what matters most to the client: a driver’s license, insurance rates, employment, and a clean record. He joined Garguile DUI & Traffic Lawyers in 2026 after several years in public defense, where he supervised a misdemeanor contract of approximately 1,000 cases per year and handled felony matters and jury trials. Licensed in Washington since 2013, Ben is based in the Tacoma office and represents clients in Pierce, Kitsap, Thurston, and King Counties, including Tacoma, Puyallup, Bremerton, Olympia, and Seattle.

Before law school, Ben served as a Sergeant and Tactical Air Traffic Controller in the United States Marine Corps, with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. That background shaped how he practices: composed, attentive to detail, and direct with clients about their case and their options.

A native of Cincinnati, Ben earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina. He lives in Tacoma with his wife and golden retriever, plays ice hockey, enjoys ballroom/Latin dance, and works on his own cars.
